The HBCU Bridge team is proud to introduce you to an opportunity for interested and qualified students attending your college or university. We have joined forces to enable special opportunities for students attending Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs). This initiative grants unprecedented exposure to behind the scenes in the world of sports. In partnership with Sports Video Group (SVG) students will be introduced to the creation, production, distribution, and technology of sports content. YoSy Media, a multi-media news and information platform developed specifically to inform and empower the African American community, is also a partner in this exciting effort. YoSy is co-lead by media personality Sybil Wilkes, formally of the Tom Joyner Morning Show, who is continuing her support for HBCUs through her voice and key partnerships.
How This Opportunity Will Work – There will be opportunities for students to apply online through a curated application process. This process will include all opportunities and share suggested qualifications. As the lead in your department, you will be asked to confirm that the student is enrolled in your institution and is in good standing. A brief statement of recommendation for the student will be helpful to ensure student success.
